Youth, Development and Beginnings

It's been my privilege to be elected Youth Director of PEI.  

As this is my first year coaching the youth, mistakes will be made, things will be missed, but I'm in for the long haul and I'm willing to do what it takes to achieve success, learn from my mistakes and build a Youth Club on PEI to be proud of.

I have a fantastic group of kids, in Summerside, from 8 - 17 years old with a wide range of skills.  Some have just begun while others have been playing for a few years.  We welcome them all.  Each week they come in with such enthusiasm, it's infectious.  It puts a smile on my face...every time.  They listen to the volunteers and are able to take constructive advice and use it to grow and build their skill.  

We are Super excited to announce, for the very first time, PEI will be sending a Youth Team to Nationals in Quebec, May 18 - 21, 2023.  I couldn't be more proud :)

 It's my goal to eventually have Youth Clubs across PEI, from East to West.  But in order to accomplish this, volunteers and coaches are needed.  I cannot do it alone.  If you think you have what it takes to commit to an evening a week and help the youth to build their skill, please send me an email.  youth@peidarts.org.  I'd love to hear from you and discuss our options for a Club in your area.
